Ladder Hoddle Street

Based in Collingwood, this is a partnership between Victorian Department of Human Services, Melbourne City Mission, Yarra Community Housing and Ladder. Ladder Hoddle Street is an integrated foyer where accommodation and services are provided in the one building.

Ladder Hoddle Street was Ladder’s first program and commenced in 2009. Ladder programs in Mentoring, Health and Wellbeing and Leadership and Culture are offered at Ladder Hoddle Street.

There are 20 apartments available - either studios or with one bedroom - which are fully furnished. The two-year program is open to young people aged between 16 and 25 (must be under 23 upon referral) who are homeless or at risk of homelessness. Young people are required to pay rent for their apartment with Ladder paying the balance.
